Publio is a standalone representative of the self-publishing system in Hungary, a technology that the music and the film industry have already incorporated. It brings along a self-developed and tested system. The mission of the company is to bring  change to the Hungarian book publishing industry, to the strengthening of the self-publishing, and to supporting the freedom of book publishing by making it available for anyone. Capitalising on the new market prospects, the company’s goal is to reach a 8-10 percent market share in the Hungarian book market. The company has more than 1500 registered authors, 1100 titles and 28000 sold copies. It was the 8th biggest e-book publisher in turnover in 2013 on the home market. It provides know-how for Ekönyv Magyarország under the terms of a white-label contract.
